ABOUT

Three sisters gather annually, over a period of five years, to celebrate the eldest's birthday. Each year brings with it new partners, challenges, heartaches, and misgivings in this messy dramedy about dysfunctional family dynamics. 

 

MEET THE TEAM

Cailleah Scott-Grimes

Producer, Co-Director

A perpetual asker of big questions, Cailleah has appeared on either side of the camera, seeking to shed a little light and humor on the human experience. Cailleah works to bridge cultural, social and technological gaps through art and film. Her debut documentary, She Got Game,  won Best of Fest and Best Feature at Fan Expo Canada, has screened internationally, and streamed as part of  the Air Canada in-flight EnRoute program. Cailleah also worked on Slut or Nut, which premiered at Hot Docs 2018, and Wholesome Foods, I Love You… alongside Krista Hovsepian. She is currently a York University MFA in Film candidate.

Christina Elizabeth Hall

Producer, Co-Director, Editor

Christina is an interactive experience designer and immersive media producer working at the intersection of media, art and technology. She seeks to examine the impact of exposing new modes of interaction through emerging technologies and how these modes affect a story for the viewer. Her film, Wilde Eastern, a multi-ending, gaze triggered VR film was an official selection at Cannes Film Festival, Marché du Film in May 2018. She holds a Master’s degree from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at Tisch School of the Arts and has a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto.

“Kiki” - Lead Actress

Krista has been working on both sides of the camera (in Canada) as an actress, producer, writer, director, and cinematographer, as well as on stage for over 20 years. Her award-winning original series, Wholesome Foods, I Love You… Is That OK? is currently available via Amazon Prime and is an official selection of 11 festivals, having garnered over 20 nominations worldwide. She holds her MA in Visual & Media Anthropology from the Free University of Berlin, and her BFA in Film/Photography from Ryerson University's School of Image Arts.
